Samuel Martell is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 187 lb. frame from Loganville, GA who attends Walnut Grove. Taller lean frame. Ran an 8.16 60-yard dash. Primary left handed pitcher with a belt high leg lift, tall and fall mechanics and a three-quarter arm slot. Full arm swing creates some deception in the delivery, and helps the fastball that topped out at 81 get on hitter quicker than expected. Developing feel for spinning a curve that was consistently around the zone. Has some upside with added velocity and command on the mound. Also worked out at first base, showed clean glove actions, a quick release and solid average arm strength with accurate throws to bases. Long and loose swing at the plate, swings with intent, developing feel for the barrel and shows the hand speed and leverage to impact the baseball in the air. Some two-way ability here. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
