2023 Sophomore National Showcase (2026 Grads)
Nate Wade is a 2026 RHP/IF/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from St. Augustine, FL who attends Tocoi Creek High School. Lean young build with lots of room to get stronger. Starts his delivery with a big rocker step, gets into his lower half well going down the mound, high 3/4's arm slot, has some energy at release. Fastball worked in the mid-80's with some cutting action glove side. Curveball was his best pitch with good spin and the ability to add and subtract from the pitch, throws his curveball for strikes at any count. Developing change up, tends to drop his slot on release. 6.89 runner in the sixty. Shows athleticism in the middle infield on defense, is light on his feet and shows lateral range and body control. Also worked out in the outfield with similar athletic actions and good arm strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced base with a short and direct swing, hands drive swing with good barrel control, moves the ball around with line drive contact. Very good student.
