Tyler Maro is a 2021 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-8 235 lb. frame from Davenport, IA who attends Assumption. Large physical build with present strength. Ran a 7.80 second sixty-yard dash. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift landing online with the plate and staying online through delivery. Utilizes a over the top arm slot with developing arm speed. Showed a fastball with occasional glove side run creating a lot of swing and miss up n the zone topping out at 78 miles per hour and a curveball for consistent strikes at 68 miles per hour. At first base showed clean glove actions with good footwork moving to and through the ball. Flashed the ability to move off the first base bag well. Showed good arm strength with accurate on base carry topping out at 77 miles per hour across the infield. In the outfield showed deliberate actions working to and through the ball. Fields with low out front actions and confident glove actions in the outfield as well. Displayed good arm strength and online accuracy to the bases while topping out at 79 miles per hour from the outfield. Right handed hitter. Employs a slightly closed off stance with a high hand and back elbow set up. Utilizes a high intent swing with a direct path to the ball creating consistent solid line drives. Flashed good power during batting practice and games with multiple loud fly balls and line drives. Great student.
