Damian Jose Ortiz is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Guayama, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Recorded a 6.71 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with broad shoulders and room to add strength. Primary outfielder who attacks the ball and has quick footwork. Impressive arm strength recorded up to 89 mph into the diamond. Snatchy hands and transfers are quick. Fluid and under control actions with a fast arm and plenty of upside. Right-handed hitter with a wide base, quick hands, and easy power. Plenty of strength to the pull side gap and shows good bat speed too. Gets out in front and drives the ball and posits big power upside. Named to the PR Workout Showcase TP List.
