2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 6)
Trey Freeman is a 2023 SS/2B, 3B, MIF, OF, UT with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Plant. Good looking athlete with a symmetrical frame and has added strength. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 6.92 seconds. Primary position IF, who plays the position with aggression, working through his angles well and showed the ability to throw from varying slots. Reps in the outfield as well, working the glove off to side and squaring well to create accurate throws. Produced throws of 83 mph IF and 82 mph from the OF. Hands are accurate and secured the ball leading to deep gather. RHH working from a wide base, high hand set and high back elbow. Hands are quick, working straight to contact and was consistently on the barrel. LHH with similar wide setup, good hand path to ball and does create a bit more natural lift from this side. Solid overall offensive skills with a chance to hit for power and average over his career. Elite in the classroom with tremendous test scores.
