Maddox Daffern is a 2025 RHP/3B, MIF with a 5-8 133 lb. frame from Pace, FL who attends Pace. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean and projectable build, has room to fill throughout and grow moving forward. Ran a 7.89 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, side step moving into delivery with up-tempo pace, high leg lift with hip turn at top of delivery; hides the ball through the back with a longer arm action to a higher release point. Pitched to contact and induced it early in count, fastball topped out at 80 mph with some sinking life to it down in the zone; mixed a curveball up to 65 mph and landed it around the zone. Fields the ball out front with two hands in the infield, sound mechanics and shows lateral agility with quickness to lower half and balance to overall actions with arm strength across. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, stays tight throughout swing, can incorporate additional extension and separation out front; some line drive contact off the barrel, contact oriented strength, tends to get uphill with swing path. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
