2021 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 22)
Gilbert Valdez is a 2024 MIF/RHP, 2B, SS, OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Cottonwood Shores, TX who attends Burnet HS. Recorded a 7.44 second 60-yard dash time. Young and lean build with lots of room to add strength. Primary middle infielder with a lower arm slot and deliberate actions. Sinking throws across recorded up to 73 mph with an uphill release. Slightly open stance with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Open and narrow start with an upright stance. Middle of the field approach with a bottom hand dominant swing. Leg lift trigger moving forward and projects with strength. Tremendous student.
