Ricardo Hurtado is a 2027 OF/2B, SS with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Whittier, CA who attends Orange Lutheran. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.68 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, deliberate actions on the approach to ball, works on top of throws well to intended base, arm strength will continue to develop, young actions which'll continue to refine. Moves well in the infield, athleticism plays and shows comfort moving to either side with the ability to adjust arm slot as needed to complete play. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate; utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing in the box. Weight shifts through lower half, occasionally gets to front side early, shows quickness to swing and remains short to the ball while keeping hands inside. Contact oriented approach with line drive contact, handsy swing, able to utilize all fields, nice upside with additional strength. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
