Jace Moran is a 2027 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Live Oak, FL who attends Suwannee. Medium athletic build with some present strength. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a big leg raise load, not always consistent with his leg raise timing and height, has strength in his swing and creates some bat speed, very accurate barrel, worked mostly middle away with solid barrel contact, will learn to turn the barrel and use his strength with repetitions and load adjustments, promising young hitter. 7.03 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense but graded out just as well as a middle infielder. Athleticism stood out at both positions, has bounce in his actions and good quickness, works through his throws at both positions and makes accurate throws, will be interesting to see where he develops most as a defender. Took at turn on the mound, works from a well controlled fast paced delivery. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with very low spin characteristics and lots of hard sink and run. Also threw a well shaped 11/5 curveball. Good athlete who is just going to keep improving in all areas. Good student.
