Colton Rogers is a 2027 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-8 115 lb. frame from Live Oak, FL who attends Suwannee. A lean frame with a slender build. Projectable frame moving forward. Ran an 8.16 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who had choppy steps working into the ball, holding momentum through the throws. He threw from a higher slot with some whip to the arm. Threw 71 mph from the outfield with projectable actions. One-hop accuracy to the bag at third. A right-handed hitter with loose and whippy hands through the zone. He clears the front side and is able to leverage the ball at times. He stays with the barrel on the ball and showed some bat speed during his round of BP. Uses a hanging leg lift trigger to get on time. Projectable actions in the box as well. Had 4 hits during the games portion of the event, finding barrels and ending up on-base a ton. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher who works out of the stretch with a leg lift just below the bet. Tucks the shin/lower leg underneath the hip before striding down the mound. He has a full arm swing with some looseness to the arm action. He gets extended down the mound and pitches from a high three-quarters arm slot. Had a good feel for his actions, landing on line and releasing out front. He threw the fastball for strikes up to 72 mph with 1,917 RPMs spin. Paired it with an 11-5 shaped breaking ball spinning up to 2,214 RPMs. Landed it for strikes as well. Also showed a changeup with some depth, replicating arm speed well. Struck out 3 hitters over 2.0 innings pitched. Great student.
