Braxton Sykes is a 2028 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Brunswick, GA who attends Frederica Academy. Recorded an 8.35 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a lean and projectable build. Employed active footwork in the infield, fielded the backhand cleanm and showed good arm strength across. Also worked out in the outfield and fielded the ball cleanly and showed the same arm strength. Right-handed hitter and starts from a slightly open, narrow stance with a high back elbow and hands. Utilizes a leg lift trigger and showcased loose hands and wrists during the round. Remained under control and stayed in good direction. Best contact was to the middle of the field. Secondary right-handed pitcher and threw exclusively from the stretch. Used a low leg lift below the belt and offered a heavy diet of fastballs, topping at 73 mph. Named to the 2022 13u Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
