2023 South Central Prospect Showcase
Elijah Webber is a 2026 RHP/C/UT with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Boyd, TX who attends Boyd. Primary right-handed pitcher with plenty of projection in his long limbs to fill out as he continues to mature. Ran a 7.85 second sixty. Arm talent plays on the mound with a clean arm action getting to a three-quarters release. Fastball generates swing and miss early in counts topping out at 87 mph with arm side run when looking to go in on right-handed hitters. Landed an upper 70’s slider as the primary off speed offering with horizontal bite landing to the glove side of the plate with swing and miss capabilities. Works aggressively to the baseball in the outfield receiving it on the side and working into a long gather with some intent out front making accurate throws. Does a nice job with the back hands getting to it and playing the ball out front. Showed similar arm strength with developing arm strength. Sits in a square stance gaining no ground into the throws while relying on his arm strength to make accurate throws with a 2.06 second pop time. Showed young footwork at first base working to and through the ball while showing off the arm strength across the diamond. Left-handed hitter starts with a wide base and open stance. Transfers the weight well into contact with a small stride showing good rhythm and timing to the swing. Creates good angles with the bat path allowing him to attack with leverage and impact the ball with some authority to the pull side. Excellent student. Named to the 2023 South Central Prospect Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
