Jimmy Gomez is a 2020 SS/ with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Sunnyside. Medium, compact frame with a lean and slender build, as well as some room to add moving forward. Ran a 7.14 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Rounds the ball well with a clean funnel out front. Works through exchanges with athletic actions and into a quick, three-quarter release. Solid arm strength across the diamond topping out at 87 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a slightly crouched and even stance. Rotational lower half actions into a simple leg lift trigger load. The top coils a bit through load creating slight barrel whip through the zone. Inside hand path through a line drive plane. Middle of the field to opposite field approach. Named to the 2019 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.
