Angel Cotto is a 2021 OF/2B with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Dorado, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Smaller height with a slender and wiry build that can hold bulk. Ran a 6.68 in the sixty yard dash. A primary outfielder, reads hops well and stays behind the ball before using his soft hands to field and transfer. Quick feet throw his exchange and consistent release point out of the hand. A secondary infielder, athletic actions and light on his feet. Good motor and the lateral range should keep him in the middle. A switch-hitter, starts balanced and in line with his base staying inside and behind while using the opposite field well. Left-handed, starts balanced and open using a flatter path and spacing out front to pull the ball more. Very good student.
