2022 WWBA West Workout Showcase (July 15)
Gabriel Carrizoza is a 2023 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Corona Del Sol. Medium build with present length throughout both halves that can fill out at the next level. Ran a 7.67 in the 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, looked comfortable in his round with present arm strength. Changed slots on the move and kept the ball in the middle of stance. Showcased the fundamentals well. Good footwork with some intent in the arm. Left-handed hitter, narrow base and hanging leg kick. Rotates the hip well for pull-side power and developing feel for the barrel. Creates lift and has intent in the box. Solid pull-side presence with a promising glove at first base. Good student.
