Peyton Newell is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-4 255 lb. frame from Goddard, KS who attends Bishop Carroll Catholic High School. Large and sturdy frame. Right-handed pitcher only, starts his delivery with a side step up to a belt high leg lift, methodical and deliberate with motion, lands closed down the mound and works cross body to the plate, long arm action at take back up to an over the top arm slot release, low effort delivery. Fastball topped out at 75 mph and creates a downhill plane to the plate, mixed in a curveball with low-60s velocity, 11-5 shape to the pitch, showed the ability to locate each pitch to both sides of the plate.
