Charlie Brinkman is a 2024 C/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from King George, VA who attends Pro5 Baseball Academy. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present strength, additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 6.81 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate with a turn at start, shows a clean transfer into a short and quick arm action through the back, very accurate throws, arm strength and carry play to second base, will continue to refine lower half mechanics moving forward. Similar arm action on throws from the outfield, longer strides moving towards the bball, accurate one-hop throws to intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; gathers weight onto backside at start of weight shift, hover hold and moves in well. Works on a linear swing path through the zone, gets it through on time with line drive contact coming off, simple swing and approach which he repeats. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
