Nate Slaughter is a 2024 C/1B with a 5-11 215 lb. frame from Hahira, GA who attends Lowndes. An extra large & physical frame with strength showing in the build. Ran a 7.93 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who threw 77 mph from behind the plate with a 2.15 pop time. Showed off his strength with his throws, getting them to the bag at second easily. He lets the ball travel with a transfer close to the body as he works into the throws. A right-handed hitter who was able to stay compact with the swing and show off comfort to his approach in the batter's box during his round of BP. The ball jumped off the bat on hard-line drives, including a 92 mph exit velo during BP and 85 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Picked up 2 hits during the games, working at-bats and driving the ball well. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher working out of the full wind-up. He pitched from an over-the-top arm slot and challenged hitters early on in at-bats with some heaviness to his fastball, working 79-82 mph and reaching back for 83 mph. Paired it with a breaking ball that had some depth and was problematic for the opposition when sequenced well. He showed off the pitchability and worked with good tempo and a fluid operation overall. Tallied 2 punchouts over an inning of work. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
