Tanner Eckert is a 2028 C/RHP, 1B, 2B, 3B, OF, UT with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL who attends Providence. Medium, athletic build with more projection in store. Ran a 8.40 in the sixty. Catcher, higher set with clean footwork and developing pop time. Solid accuracy with present arm strength to the bag. First baseman, quicker turns to bag for age with good accuracy from short action. Infielder, fluid lateral actions and fields well from the backhand. Good release with a sound pair of hands, throws come out clean. Outfielder, charges well with confidence and works from a longer arm action. Low liner throws with present carry to the bag. Also pitched, works from over-the-top slot with slight lean back posture in delivery. Alternates between stretch and windup and causes deception. Fastball and curveball played well off one another and have the shape and quality to really build something on the mound. Right-handed hitter, open stance with even base and high hand set with a double toe tap timing. Swings with plenty of intent and looks to do damage. Loads well into his backside and can pull off at times, but has the strength potential to develop.
