Jorge Romero is a 2020 C/RHP, 1B, OF with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from North Hills, CA who attends Birmingham. Medium athletic build with room to still fill as he develops. Primary catcher, has good feel behind the plate and replaces feet well. Lower crouch set up, quick feet when transitioning, and strong throws down to the second base bag. Posted a 1.98 second pop time. At the plate, uses an upright and slightly open stance with a mid leg lift trigger. Pre-coils his upper half and has a simple and quiet load overall. Finds leverage with a strong linear weight shift in the box with present strength in his swing. Middle of the field approach with high finish after extension.
