Richie Burillo is a 2023 1B/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Eastvale, CA who attends Eleanor Roosevelt. Large corner profiled frame that defensively showed abiltiy to funnel with present arm strength to deliver accurate strikes across the diamond. At the plate, he sets up with medium base working into a toe tap timing mechanism. The feel for the barrel stood out with ability to generate deep pull side leverage on balls hit in the air. Hips fire the barrel which is a positve sign to future power. On the mound, hands start low then break to a quick delivery . Fastball straight with some hop. Curve has good late drop from the over the top delivery. He has a strong build, and the ball comes out with easy effort. Secondary stuff can use a consistent release, but that will come with practice. Athletic mover, playing multiple positions. Interesting future ahead. 7.91 60-yard. Great student.
