2022 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Matthew Chrzanowski is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 5-11 193 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends North Cobb. Stockier build. Looks taller than 5’11 on the mound though. Slower tempo delivery coming to a belt high leg lift. Clean break but has a slight dig in the back before coming up to a high three-quarters arm slot. Getting ahead of hitters with fastball. He uses the changeup effectively and in all counts. Worked in the lower half of the zone inducing multiple ground balls. Threw all 3 pitches in any count to try and keep hitters off balance and was able to throw them all for strikes. He doesn’t have amazing stuff so needed to mix pitches well. Curveball was loopy with loose spin. In the Infield, the feet are abit heavy but had no problem securing the routine play cleanly. At the plate, he sets up with very widespread base woking into a downhill bat path to impact. Theres strength in the swing but struggles to utilize it other than pull side groundballs and line drives back through the middle. 8.84 60-yard. Great student.
