Gavin Newborg is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Seguin, TX who attends Navarro. Ran a 7.57 60 yard dash. Good arm accuracy in the outfield. Keeps throws low and on target. He was clocked throwing 76 in the outfield. Good instincts in the field and on the bases. At the plate, more hit tool oriented than power tool oriented. Simple swing with a slight leg lift timing mechanism pre-pitch. Quick hands at the plate with quick bat speed. Uses the whole field well with an up the middle approach. His highest exit velocity was 77 MPH. Outstanding student in the classroom.
