2021 Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Troy Evans is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Grand Prairie, TX who attends Lake Ridge HS. Recorded a 7.09 second 60-yard dash time. Younger frame with wiry strength and some quick twitch athleticism to project on. Primary outfielder with a shorter arm action and accurate throws into the diamond. Deliberate actions with clean bends and funnels. Arm strength recorded up to 75 mph into the infield and were on target. Left-handed hitter with a slightly open stance and a tighter turn over the inside. Compact swing and keeps it short to contact. Whips the barrel and shows some hand quickness. Spread stance with a very high back elbow. Rotates well and looks to turn the barrel over to the pull side. Tremendous student.
