Tyson Schlicher is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Waukee Northwest. Recorded a 6.79 sixty yard dash at the event. Athletic quick twitch frame with plenty of room to fill out yet. Primary right-handed pitcher. Simple delivery with projection and command of his body. Longer arm action on the mound that gets on top of the ball well. Lower three-quarters arm slot. Mechanics have room to continue to develop and clean up. Fastball has some ride to it. Curveball showed some depth to it, with feel for the zone. Secondary outfielder. Aggressive approach in the outfield with a quick first step. Works through the ball with momentum toward the target, showing a whippy arm action. Throws are on-line with carry. Right-handed hitter. Physical presence in the box. Open stance with a high handset. Shorter swing path with decent bat speed. Barrel is heavy when out front and on time. Shows solid juice. Great student. Named to the 2022 Fall Midwest Workout Showcase Top Prospect list.
