Eric O'Brien is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Arnold, MO who attends Grandview. Smaller compact athletic frame. Ran a 7.30 60-yard dash. Outfielder with some footwork to the baseball, fields it clean out front, clean exchange into a crow hop to throw where he shows long arm action and average arm strength with accuracy. Consistent low cuttable throws to bases. Hit from a slightly open stance with toe tap timing. Some extra movement in the hands, and showed a vertical bat path thru the zone with average barrel speed and developing feel for the barrel. Nice swing on a double to the gap in game. Showed fastball and slider on the mound out of a high three-quarter slot. Some deception in the delivery. Fastball in the low 70's with some ability to locate to both sides of the plate. And a slider with more sweeping action across the zone.
