Benjamin Solano is a 2022 MIF/ with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Montgomery. Medium athletic build with room to fill out and strengthen as he continues to develop. Primary infielder, fields out in front and showcases great fluidity to and through the baseball. Makes plays while on the move, really solid feel for the position. Accurate across the diamond, arm strength will only continue to improve. At the plate, uses an upright and open stance with a simple stride trigger. Slightly elevated path through the zone, still understanding his rhythm and timing with the pitcher. Quick hands through the zone, at his best when working through the middle of the field, excellent student in the classroom as well.
