Evan Wainman is a 2022 3B/1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Lithia, FL who attends Newsome. Ran a 7.45 second 60 yard dash. A primary third baseman with a physical frame, he waits back on the ball with enough arm strength with a full arm action to get the ball across the diamond throwing 81 mph to first base, the hands work well, out front with a clean funnel into the mid line. At the plate, his righthanded swing starts with a wide base, showed some bat speed with extension out front, has separation with the load at times and the bat speed project for more power to come. Very good student.
