Brodie Purcell is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Aliso Viejo, CA who attends JSerra Catholic. Strong athletic build. Slow paced delivery with a high leg lift start, rears back over the rubber, gets into his hips well coming down the mound, full arm circle with a high 3/4's release, stays on time well in his mechanics. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, pounded the bottom half of the zone well and forced weak contact with his fastball. Tunneled his curveball well with his fastball and gets good shape. Showed confidence in his change up and got some nice fade to it. Three-pitch starter profile, should continue to improve in all areas. Good student.
