2022 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 19)
Trey Greenwell is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Decatur, AL who attends Decatur. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders with present strength to him and additional room to fill throughout. Excellent runner, posted a 6.42 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, does a nice job of getting low behind the baseball, fields it out front, some reach to the backhand, higher slot on throws across the diamond, gets it out of glove well and moves with quickness up the middle. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Does a nice job of staying short and quick to the baseball with solid present bat speed through the zone. Occasionally gets to front side early and can continue to unlock more strength with additional lower half, shows nice carry off of the barrel when squared up. Very good student. Named to WWBA Summer Workout Top Prospect List.
