Erick Roberts is a 2022 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Allen, TX who attends Allen. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance, short and direct line drive swing, head stays down through contact, contact approach that hits to all fields. 7.36 runner, has quick hands and a quick exchange and release on defense in the middle infield, moves well with his lower half, can make plays on the run. Also pitched, big body lean in his delivery with an over the top arm slot, has a whippy arm coming through. Steady 79-80 mph fastball, mostly straight. Had confidence in a good downer curveball and threw it for strikes, solid performance on the mound. Has good skills if he can get stronger. Good student.
