Luc McClendon is a 2028 C/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-6 120 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Pope. Thin, athletic looking frame with a higher waist that points towards future size projection. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, high setup, slight side saddle, works to his left heavily, some accuracy on throws, will improve with arm strength. Right-handed pitcher, simple delivery, can repeat it nicely, athletic enough to make it work, side step to belt high lift, full arm circle, high three-quarters slot release, straight fastball, developing feel to land for strikes, quicker arm for class and size. Secondary infielder, developing lateral range, works through it nicely, some accuracy on the arm, solid overall. Took reps in the outfield, one hop accuracy, sits back on it, quick exchanges to slot. Switch hitter, narrow and slightly open base, has some bat speed, can handle the stick, works the pullside, more comfortable on the right side but still looked competent on the left, very impressive having two swings that function from both sides for the class, should hit long term. Solid fundamentals here that point towards solid improvement and projection long term.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
