David Hutson is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Elysian Fields, TX who attends Elysian Fields HS. Recorded a 7.60 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a lean build and lots of room to add strength. Primary shortstop with quick feet and some bounce to his actions. Works low through the ball and shows accurate throws with currently developing arm strength. Solid actions and feel for the position and will improve with strength; showed athleticism and demeanor with a couple of nice plays at shortstop in game. Right-handed hitter with an even base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Longer swing with some lift at the end of the path. Moving parts into the hand load and looks for middle of the field contact. Good contact skills out in front and projects for power in the future. Tremendous student.
