John Collins is a 2025 C/3B/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Melissa, TX who attends Melissa. Primary catcher with a smaller frame showing some strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.63 second sixty. Showed some twitch to the release behind the plate getting the ball out on time with a short arm action while gaining ground into the throws with good direction helping to create carry on the accurate throws with a 2.03 second pop time. Carries the momentum well into his throws in the outfield working through the transfer while still getting the ball out on time with a short arm action. Right-handed hitter starts with a small stride forward allowing him to transfer his weight into contact. Fires the hips with good timing while staying linear with the hand path and controlling the barrel well to impact the ball to the middle of the field.
