Zach Mayhew is a 2021 LHP/OF with a 6-1 176 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends El Capitan. Long and slender build, primary pitcher. Works exclusively out of the stretch with a quick leg lift. Long arm action from an over the top slot. 70-to-74 mph fastball generates some late arm side run at times. Curveball is his best pitch, 11-to-5 shape with good depth and bite. Likes to throw it in any count. Flashes athleticism off the mound. From the outfield, has a large crow hop and shows athletic actions on fly ball reads. Approaches the ball well and uses a long over the top arm action. At the plate, has an upright conventional stance with a neutral hand position. Middle of the field approach. Shows patience at the plate.
