Logan Wise is a 2024 1B/LHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Augusta, GA who attends Davidson Fine Arts Magnet. Medium frame and build. Projects for additional strength. Primary first baseman with clean, smooth paced footwork while surrounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange efficiently. Released from a three-quarters slot created some carry across the infield at 67 mph. Left handed hitter with a narrow, open stance and medium leg lift trigger. Looser hand path to baseball with a level, line drive barrel plane through extension. Showed developing feel for the barrel while employing a mid field to opposite field approach. Also pitched showing a smooth paced delivery. Compact arm action at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Challenged hitters with fastball generating occasional downhill tilt in the mid 60's, topped at 68 mph. Curveball had 1/7 shape with looser spin and occasional depth in the low 60's. Matched arm speed well with a changeup offering that created some fade to glove side in the upper 50's. Good student.
