2022 National Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Koen Groesch is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Millstadt, IL who attends Belleville West. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Has a fluid delivery on the mound with a long and loose arm action, big leg lift over the rubber, lands somewhat closed out front, has some deception in his mechanics and whip in his arm action. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, attacks the zone with his fastball as his primary pitch, gets swing and miss on his fastball and can elevate it with carry. Also threw a hard slider that was more like a cutter, flashed more vertical action late in his outing, can improve his secondary pitch(es). Left handed hitter, has a busy set up but stays in line well and balanced well, swing is short and compact with a middle of the field line drive approach, has some bat speed and handles the barrel well, showed hitting tools that can be developed. 7.26 runner who played the outfield when not on the mound. Unsigned senior who has a very good chance to keep improving and who is athletic. Good student. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
