Gunnar Engle is a 2023 OF/1B/3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Lantana, TX who attends John H Guyer. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned well throughout build. Runs well, posted a 6.80 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, loose and easy strides on the approach to the ball and plays through it well with momentum, remains balance in actions, higher release point and shows carry on throws to the intended base, repeats actions. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and incorporates physical strength well into swing. Big load onto backside at start, swings with intent and shows nice present bat speed through the zone with a handle for the barrel. Strength in hands plays and looks to lift at the point of contact, occasionally gets uphill with swing path, nice carry when squared. Good student. Named to the South Central Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
