Matthew Berry is a 2026 C/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Frankfort, IN who attends Frankfort. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. 7.60 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, moves well laterally and into his throws, good overall lower half actions, makes accurate throws with good carry on his throws, has the tools and actions to continue to develop defensively behind the plate, caught well in the game. Also plays some third base with the physical potential to be solid there as well. Right handed hitter, hits from a closed front side with a short and simple load and swing, hangs the front leg as his trigger but gets it down in time, has solid bat speed and squares the ball up well. Good balance of tools on offense and defense. Excellent student. Named to the Indianapolis Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
