Raul Martinez is a 2025 SS/RHP, 3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Hockley, TX who attends Bridgeland. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength on build with additional room to fill. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, glove plays to the forehand well and shows smoothness in actions, moves with lightness on feet and fields the ball out front, accurate throws across the diamond with some present arm strength. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, long arm action through the back side, generates short sinking action on fastball up to 78 mph and showed ability to get to glove side. Tunnels slider well and landed for strikes up to 65 mph, can maintain arm speed on the pitch moving forward. Right-handed hitter, begins with a balanced and slightly open stance in the box; utilizes a simple stride moving into contact. Short and easy swing mechanics and able to repeat, occasionally gets to front side early but employs an all fields approach and shows the ability to exectue. Projects with added strength, works on a linear path through the zone.
