Jose Silva Quinones is a 2025 SS/ with a 5-8 166 lb. frame from Fajardo, PR who attends IBAHS. A medium frame with a larger & physical build. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop who fields the ball up the middle with some snatchy glovework. Good glove flip on his backhands. His movements were fluid, getting to the ball, gathering, and throwing. Throws across were at 83 mph. A right-handed hitter who keeps the hands high and back elbow up. He impacts the ball well, using his bat speed to swing hard and leverage the baseball. Managed a ground-rule double pull-side during BP, really showing off the physicality in his frame. Showed a quick shift of the weight after a toe-tap to get on time. Hands work through the zone quick with feel for the barrel, being able to match planes and work uphill. Produced an 84 mph exit velocity.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
