Jackson Brasseux is a 2023 LHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Paris, TX who attends North Lamar. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Runs well, posted a 6.71 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, side step at start of delivery with a leg tuck at top, fast paced delivery with timing components to lower half mechanics; long and fast arm action through the backside working to an extended three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 93 mph, mostly true in life, worked to glove side mostly with heater; mixed a slider up to 76 mph with short tilting action through the zone. Athleticism plays in outfield actions, charges it well and works through the ball, higher slot on throws and shows above average arm strength with accuracy to the intended base. Switch-hitter, high hand set and back elbow from the right side of the plate, shows best barrel control from this side with a linear stroke and present strength off of the barrel, shifts weight well through lower half. Similar set up from the left side, contact oriented approach, looks to elevate and can put the ball in the air, present bat speed through the zone. Nice two-way potential at next level. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Texas A&M.
