Jeremiah Vega is a 2022 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Hopewell Junction, NY who attends John Jay East Fishkill. Recorded a 7.02 second sixty-yard dash time. Smaller, compact build with quick twitch athleticism and room to physically mature. Primary middle infielder with smooth, fluid actions and good usage of his lower half during the fielding process. Fundamentally sound mechanics with clean funnel out in front, soft hands and the ability to throw from all angles. Recorded online and accurate throws with above average arm strength recorded up to 84 miles per hour across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a simple rhythmic delivery and athletic movements down the slope. Works from a higher three-quarters arm slot with quick arm circle on the backside and plenty of extension out in front. Fastball worked in the low-80s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 84 mph with command to both sides of the plate. Shows developing feel for spin with effective use and tunneling of 11-5 shaped curveball that flashes downer action when in sync. Also took part in outfield drills; showed similar quick twitch actions with some anticipatory extra steps, fielding properly off his front foot and maintaining his momentum through release. Recorded accurate, online throws with carry up to 87 miles per hour in drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wide, even stance with a high hand set and leg kick trigger for timing. Middle-of-the field approach with quick hands, consistent bat-to-ball skills and strength through contact. Uses a simple, direct swing path with the propensity to find the barrel often and drive the ball with authority to the gaps. Plenty of projection remaining with real two-way potential. Good Student.
