Andrew Zarate is a 2026 3B/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Redlands, CA who attends Aquinas. Big and strong build for a 2026 player, especially in the lower half. Right handed hitter, rocks to his back side to start his swing, can get stuck there but shows good bat speed and strength when he gets to his front side, pretty timing intensive approach, has present bat speed and strong hands, has the tools to develop as a hitter with more repetitions and development. 7.41 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has step by step actions into the ball, glove tends to be late getting down, makes the routine play, best when he gets his feet under him. Also pitched, works out of a high 3/4's arm slot, fastball topped out at 79 mph with occasional arm side life, also mixed in a curveball. Bat is his tool. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
