Broderick Finlay is a 2022 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Norman, OK who attends Norman North. Square shouldered build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.59 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed deliberate actions working to and through the baseball. Flashed low out front funnels. Displayed good range working to both sides of the infield with clean footwork. Flashed clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to first base topping out at 79 mph across the diamond. Right handed hitter. Employs an upright slightly open stance with a toe tap trigger. Displayed good barrel speed through the zone with the ability to drive the ball to the pull side when on time and squared. Showed the ability to drive the ball to and through the gaps in the outfield with power potential. Also pitched at the event. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and staying online through finish. Showed a long arm action going to a three-quarter slot at release with good arm speed. Features a two pitch mix inclduing a fastball with good feel for the zone and occasional sink up to 78 mph and a big breaking curveball at 66 mph. Great student.
