Sean Yamaguchi is a 2024 3B/RHP, MIF with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Aiea, HI who attends St. Louis. He has a medium frame with a thick build and present strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.66 seconds. Primary third baseman that has clean footwork and good body control to both sides. He showed twitchy movements and a nice feel for the glove. He has a good arm and is able to throw accurately from multiple angles. Secondary pitcher that works exclusively from the stretch. He has a high leg lift and creates torque at the top of his motion. He sits into his back hip well and works in line with the plate. He throws with a short arm action and from a 3/4 slot. He primarily threw his fastball arm side and his slider had nice horizontal break. He was effective throwing both pitches for strikes. Right-handed hitter that starts with an even, open stance. He uses a knee-to-knee load and showed good hand quickness that lead to nice barrel speed. He has a pull approach and the ball jumped off his bat when he was on time and made contact out in front of the plate. Excellent student. Named to the Northwest Prospect Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
