Samuel Casado Roman is a 2025 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Cayey, PR who attends Albergue Olímpico Baseball Academy. Medium, athletic build with some present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes longer strides moving towards the ball, fields the ball out front with some bend at the waist, works into a longer arm action with some whip to his arm action, longer release, will continue to refine footwork, shows some present arm strength on throws. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, energy to delivery, shows a clean arm swing through the back working to a lower three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, worked around the zone and comfortably to the arm side; sweeping shape to curveball up to 67 mph and landed in the zone. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Loads hands back at start, shows present strength off of the barrel working to his pull side and ball jumps coming off when squared; intriguing juice from the left side with more to come. Excellent student.
