Samuel Brewer is a 2021 OF/1B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Bonita Vista. Solid athletic build with good present strength. 7.19 runner in the sixty. Aggressive to the ball in outfield, fields the ball out front well, clean transitions and footwork into his throws with good carry. Also plays first base and is very athletic at that position. Right handed hitter, high hand/high back elbow set up, gets his lower half out front early, short downhill swing plane, finishes high out front, has the strength to create bat speed but not the present swing mechanics to take advantage of that strength. Excellent student.
