Antonio Marcucci is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Alexandria, VA who attends West Potomac. As a '23 grad the primary LHP works exclusively from the stretch with quick repeatable mechanics and a funky side arm slot up to 79 mph. He successfully mixes a slurvy 11-5 breaker with vertical and horizontal plane present and lots of late bite to it, consistently keeping hitters honest at the dish. The next step for Marcucci is filling out the frame an ticking up the velo, but the pitchability and IQ for the game is certainly there. At 1B, he showcased clean transitions with quick turns and athletic movements. Offensively, Marcucci started from a narrow open stance with good rotation from the lower half to record an 85 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.34 sixty yard dash. Great student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
