Aidan Stern is a 2022 MIF/C with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Ridgefield, CT who attends Ridgefield. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and glove plays at the ball, shorter arm action with some effort at release, occasionally gets under the ball, works around the bag with throws and shows balance on the charge. Lower set behind the plate, receives the ball out front, quickness to arm action with a tight release, opens front side on release, will continue to refine overall actions. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Quickness to hands, contact oriented approach with a linear path through the zone. Projects well with added strength, short finish through contact, occasionally gets around the ball at contact, flashes lift to path with extension out front. Excellent student.
